Each year Hilliard Optimist Club Youth Sports awards Scholarships  to deserving seniors from each of the three Hilliard High Schools: Bradley, Darby, and Davidson.


Applicants must have previously participated in a Hilliard Optimist sponsored activity in order to be eligible. Eligible activities include our Athletic programs (basketball, cheerleading, football, Lacrosse, volleyball and flag football) & Academic competitions (essay or oratorical contests). 

 2024 Hilliard Optimist Club Youth Sports Scholarship Application

Scholarships currently available are: 

- Twelve (12) $1000 scholarships will be awarded as follows – 4 for each high school – 2 boy and 2 girl. 

- These scholarships will be paid out for the first semester that the winner can demonstrate that they are
   enrolled as a full time student.
   .

- The winner must enroll as a full time student within 12 months of the award of the scholarship or the scholarship in its entirety will be forfeited. 

- Scholarship applicants must have applied to a college , university or vocational training program 
   prior to the required interview.

- Scholarship winners must be enrolled as a full-time student before scholarship funds are awarded
   The scholarship funds will be sent by the Optimist Club directly to the college/institution to be applied
   to the winner's tuition. it is critical that the winners maintain contact with the club and provide current 
   contact information.
