2025 – 2026 Essay Topic:
“How My Acts of Service Help Me Understand
What My Community Means to Me”
Optimist International sponsors an essay contest with a grand prize of a $3,500 scholarship to the Ohio District winner. One winning essay will advance to Finals from the District. The top 3 winners at the local Club level will receive monetary awards of $500, $250, and $150, respectively.
The contest is open to contestants under the age of 19, as of October 1, 2025, who have not yet completed secondary school, or its equivalent.
Essay and Application must be received by January 31, 2026.
