Practice:

Please make sure your children are not bouncing balls and running in the hallway at the schools.  We only want you to show up 5 minutes before your practice time so that we can minimize people in the hallway at the schools.

Games:

We require all spectators are on their best behavior during the games, at all times.  We are a recreational basketball program and our organization teaches Optimism, through sports.  Spectators will be asked to leave, if they can not watch our athletes in an appropriate manner.

Program Philosophy

  • To provide a safe and wholesome environment in which youth may experience the fun of playing basketball and develop the basic concepts of competition within the framework of good sportsmanship.
  • To teach basic fundamentals of the game of basketball.
  • To teach (by word and example) to give one’s best, regardless of one’s circumstances, always produces a winner.
  • To involve adults in helping achieve the above purposes whether as coaches, advisors, officials, fans, scorekeepers, timekeepers, etc...

The HOBL will be separated into four boys and four girls divisions ranging from the ages of 6-14 years old.
