The physical benefits of running track include a healthy heart, improved breathing, an increase in energy and a way to lose or maintain body weight. Joining a track team also has other benefits that extend beyond the physical, such as building camaraderie, a positive attitude and follow-through, and preparation for other sports. If you are considering reasons for participating in this team sport, your list of benefits will convince you to lace up those running shoes and go for it.
